Hosting A Christmas Cookie Bake

Hosting a Christmas cookie bake is taking the Cookie Exchange experience one step further and lots of fun! Instead of bringing the cookies already made, everyone gathers to make the cookies together. What a great way to spend time with girlfriends or family!

So, you've decided to add some more fun to the Christmas season and host a cookie bake! Your friends will love you! And, so will their husbands!
The key to a successful bake is organization. Here are a few tips to help you get organized.

First, compile your guest list. Five to eight people work well together in a one oven kitchen. If you have more than one, you may want to try up to eight the first time and then see if you feel you can add more.
Second, find out what cookies and candies you would like to make. Remember to think about how much baking time each cookie takes. You will need to calculate the number of cookies you will be making by baking time to see how many kinds you will have time to make. It's suggested that you try three to five cookies and two candies for your first bake to get a feel for the timing of the event.
This is also the time to price out how much you think your ingredients will cost. Then, divide the cost between participants.
